We noted before how WWE was looking to take SummerSlam to the next level and they were planning to take the event away from the Barclays Center in New York.
The company was reportedly looking for an outdoor venue for the event similar to the setup for WrestleMania and it appears that they may have found it already.
WrestleVotes twitter account noted recently that the announcement regarding the venue for the event is expected to be made within this week and the two favorites are “polar opposites on the map”.
WWE has been holding the SummerSlam PPV in Barclays Center from Brooklyn New York from the past three years since it moved there in 2015.
Before that, they held the event in Staples Center from LA for 6 years and prior to that, the event used to change venues every year similar to the other events.
