Nia Jax made a one-night return to WWE at the 2023 Royal Rumble, but this wasn’t her first controversial outing in the famous over the top rope match. Years prior, she had caused a stir due to an incident involving Grim’s Toy Show.
In 2018, during a Royal Rumble event, YouTuber Grim from Grim’s Toy Show was filming his reactions for his channel. He infamously referred to Nia Jax as a “Battle Cow” during her entrance, which sparked a massive controversy. Fans of Nia Jax expressed their anger towards Grim and even threatened his safety.
Years later, Grim and Nia Jax finally had the opportunity to meet in person at the Baltimore Celeb Fest. Grim apologized for his previous comments, and Nia Jax appeared to have forgiven him, saying that it was all in “good fun.” However, Grim’s face changed as he explained the extent of the backlash he received, including losing sponsors and receiving death threats and harassment from Nia Jax’s fans.
Despite the initial tensions, Grim and Nia Jax were able to reconcile and even hugged it out before Grim left, after he presented Nia Jax with a gift. This interaction shows that, although there were some difficult moments in the past, time can heal old wounds.
