Nia Jax is no stranger to controversy and it seems she is in its midst again. Jax has a reputation of injuring Superstars and it did not stop there. On this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Nia Jax made a racially insensitive joke.
Nia Jax is a heel, so she cut a heel promo on Asuka and Kairi Sane. This took place before Jax’s match against Sane, where she was busted open by Nia. However, that part of the match was edited.
Jax’s promo included a portion where she mocked the Japanese language by mimicking what Asuka and Kairi Sane sound like to her. She drew the ire of fans online after this promo.
The backlash took place on Twitter and several fans were outraged at the fact that WWE could edit the part where Sane was busted open but left Jax’s racially insensitive tweet unedited.
One fan even questioned what WWE did, saying: “So Nia Jax mocked Japanese which is kinda racist, mocked Becky Lynch being pregnant, said the title got handed to Asuka, played victim, & this is the match where Kairi gets busted wide open, i miss anything?”

"Don't believe the hype. They aren't what they say they are. The oh besties and the bright colors and memememe Japanese, it's all smoke and mirrors."
