We reported yesterday that according to former WWE, WCW & ECW Superstar Raven, NWA was done as a promotion. However, NWA President Billy Corgan revealed on his social media handles that the promotion is NOT shutting down anytime soon.
The COVID-19 pandemic has made it hard for wrestling promotions to conduct events on a regular basis. In NWA’s case, things have been much worse due to the resignation of Vice President Dave Lagana on the account of sexual abuse allegations against him.
According to a new report by Fightful, the promotion had considered giving the position of Executive Vice President to their World Champion Nick Aldis. However, they didn’t go through with this because Aldis didn’t possess the same skill sets like that of Lagana.
The company is still without a Vice President and is looking for a way to successfully resume production in these trying times. When they will back, we don’t know but rest assured, they’re not wrapping up yet.
