There has been a lot of speculation surrounding who and where Nick Diaz will be fighting. After much anticipation, the question has been answered.
The Gracie Fighter website reported that Strikeforce will be welcoming Nick Diaz beginning in January 2011, but it will not, however. be a fight against Jason “Mayhem” Miller as fans had been anticipating.
Miller was unwilling to meet at the catchweight of 178 pounds for the bout with Diaz. Miller hoped the Strikeforce Welterweight Champion would move up a weightclass and fight at the middleweight division instead. Mayhem stated that he was however willing to lose two pounds and fight at 183lbs.
Strikeforce will now be helping Nick Diaz’s search for a new opponent for the January card.
