Artem Chigvintsev, who is known for Dancing With The Stars and his marriage to Nikki Bella, has been arrested for domestic battery. A recent 911 call he made has been released, showing more details about what happened.
Early in the morning, Chigvintsev called 911 around 8:30 AM, saying there was a “medical emergency.” Shortly after, he called back to cancel the request. Despite this, the situation got worse, and deputies from the Napa County Sheriff’s Office came to the house by 10 AM.
When they arrived, they saw injuries on the alleged victim and arrested Chigvintsev for felony domestic battery. He was booked into Napa County Jail with a $25,000 bail but has been released since then. The victim is working with the police.
The 911 call, now shared by TMZ, includes Chigvintsev saying Nikki Bella threw shoes at him, which might have made things worse. The dispatcher also mentioned a child was there and that Chigvintsev and Bella were separated when the authorities arrived. Even though the medical request was canceled, the police responded because the situation was serious.
“Just came in as the RP [reporting party] requesting medical, but now the RP is stating that he got in an argument with his wife and his wife threw shoes at the RP. There is a child on scene. There’s an active 415 [disturbing the peace] in the background responsible. The responsible is going to be a Nicole Garcia. I’m trying to get both parties separated.” The dispatcher later added, “RP is stating no medical is needed now.”
This incident has gotten a lot of attention and raised questions about the couple’s private life. Nikki Bella’s representative has asked for privacy during this time, and it is not yet clear if there will be any official statements from either Chigvintsev or Bella.
