In a recent video posted on one of their official channels on X, President Joe Biden’s campaign brought attention to the perplexing situation wherein Republican candidate Nikki Haley was endorsed, prompting a reevaluation of former President Donald Trump’s mental fitness for holding office.

During a rally in New Hampshire on Friday, Trump launched a scathing attack on Haley, branding her a “globalist fool” and insinuating that he wouldn’t consider her as his running mate if he secured the Republican nomination. In a bizarre turn of events, Trump seemed to conflate Haley with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, erroneously blaming her for the Capitol attack.

Trump stated, “Nikki Haley, you know they, do you know they destroyed all of the information, all of the evidence, everything, deleted and destroyed all of it. We offered her 10,000 people, soldiers, National Guard, whatever they want. They turned it down. They don’t want to talk about that. These are very dishonest people.”

Swiftly responding to Trump’s unusual case of mistaken identity, Haley addressed the incident the following day in Keene, New Hampshire, questioning Trump’s mental acuity and raising doubts about his fitness for the presidency.

“We see that [President Joe] Biden has changed so much in two years,” Haley remarked to the crowd. “But last night, Trump is at a rally and he’s going on and on mentioning me multiple times as to why I didn’t take security during the Capitol riots. Why didn’t I handle Jan. 6 better? I wasn’t even in D.C. on Jan. 6. I wasn’t in office then.”

The Biden-Harris HQ rapid response account on X promptly shared Haley’s remarks on social media, drawing attention to Trump’s confusion during the rally. Haley emphasized, “They’re saying he got confused, that he was talking about something else, he’s talking about Nancy Pelosi. He mentioned me multiple times in that scenario. The concern I have is — I’m not saying anything derogatory — but when you’re dealing with the pressures of the presidency, we can’t have someone else that we question whether they’re mentally fit to do this. We can’t.”

Throughout Saturday, Haley continued to express concerns about Biden’s competence and mental fitness, highlighting his advanced age. However, it’s notable that the Biden campaign did not share videos containing these specific critiques.
