Nikki Haley recently vowed to remain in the race and continued questioning former President Trump’s electability in a general election following the former president being widely projected as the winner of the South Carolina GOP primary just seconds after the polls closed on Saturday via Mediaite.

“We need to beat Joe Biden in November. I don’t believe Donald Trump can beat Joe Biden. Nearly every day Trump drives people away, including with his comments just yesterday,” Haley told a cheering crowd who briefly booed Trump when his name was brought up.

It is noted that Haley was referring to Trump’s comments at CPAC where he predicted apocalyptic-level events under a second Biden term in a fiery speech.

“Our country is being destroyed, and the only thing standing between you and it’s obliteration is me,” he told the Washington D.C. crowd.

Haley made her speech in South Carolina when a little more than 50% of the votes had been tabulated and she was bringing in around 40% of the vote, something she chalked up as a victory when vowing to stay in the race to continue offering an “alternative” to Trump.

“That’s about what we got in New Hampshire too. I’m an accountant. I know 40% is not 50%, but I also know 40% is not some tiny group,” Haley said.

The former South Carolina governor accused both Biden and Trump of “demanding we fight each other.”

“One of them calls his fellow Americans fascists. The other calls his fellow Americans vermin,” she said.
