No Mercy Title Match Scrapped Due to Injury

According to a report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestleing Observer Newsletter, WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has been forced off of tonight’s No Mercy pay-per-view (PPV) card with an injury and will be unable to defend her title against Alexa Bliss.

It is not known when the injury happened or what it is, however, Lynch is not expected to miss any crucial amount of time. She is expected to be written off the show similarly to how Randy Orton was a few weeks ago in a backstage attack angle or sorts.

We’ll keep you updated as we learn more….

No, because it says she isn’t expected to be out for a significant amount of time. She just can’t work tonight.

So does she get stripped like Sasha did?

I think there has always been this amount, but it probably shows more with how many have actually been champions getting injured. Also, I think in the past WWE allowed people to work through a lot of injuries, but due to all the lawsuits etc that have been cropping up, they are taking a bit more of a precautionary route these days.
