NWA reportedly shutting down

Billy Corgan’s new NWA has been on the scene for the past few years. The company launched its show “NWA POWER” on YouTube and it was basically a throwback to old-school wrestling with a quirky modern touch.

Hardcore fans appreciated the show’s unique studio-wrestling format and tuned into the program every week. However, the COVID-19 pandemic forced NWA and many other promotions to temporarily shut down.

During its temporary shutdown, NWA Vice President Dave Lagana was accused of sexual misconduct by multiple victims. Lagana resigned from his position as the Vice President of NWA and parted ways with the promotion.

Wrestling Legend Raven revealed on his podcast that he’s heard from the “grapevine” that Billy Corgan is planning to shut down NWA for good. Raven said that Corgan is very “disillusioned” with the promotion and it seems like it won’t be back.

Raven has a history with Corgan’s NWA and he revealed that he had worked with Corgan in the NWA office.
