NXT Coach Helped James Storm Get In Talks With WWE

As reported earlier on the site, James Storm has not signed a contract with WWE. TNA offered Storm a new deal two weeks ago, but Storm did not agree to it.

WWE officials wanted Storm to sign a deal similar to Samoa Joe’s initial contract, but Storm did not sign the contract. WWE is said to be interesting in Storm working the next set of NXT TV tapings later this month. TNA got wind of his appearance and offered him a new contract last Thursday.

In an update, NXT trainer Billy Gunn was the one who got Storm into talks with WWE officials, according to The two have been friends for years now.

As of this writing, Storm is weighing his options and has yet to accept a deal by either promotion.

I like how this article has the same spelling mistake as the first article about this… copy and paste journalism at its finest!

On a sidenote – fingers crossed Storm ends up in NXT before Takeover: London!!

Which is weird, since Storm changed his twitter picture to support WWE and Susan G. Komen, and has been hinting at something in the future on Twitter. Something tells me he signed already, but it’s being kept heavily under wraps.
