As seen on this week’s episode of NXT, Lio Rush battle Angel Garza to determine who’d get a shot at Jordan Devlin’s Cruiserweight Championship.
Both these men are former Cruiserweight Champions and were looking to get their hands back on what was once theirs. However, after a tremendous match full of high-flying offense, Lio Rush came out on top and defeated Garza.
Hence, Rush has become the new No. 1 Contender for the title and will be facing Devlin on next week’s episode of NXT. After the match, Devlin came out with his title and exchanged a few words with his upcoming challenger.

Garza, on the other hand, is enjoying some main roster success in the past two weeks and that might continue at least for the immediate future.
