NXT sees big decline in audience after USA premiere

While NXT put on a great show for its USA Network debut last week, it appears that some fans still didn’t like the presentation of the show as the viewership numbers took a dip.

The first hour of this week’s episode of the show featuring Matt Riddle vs. Killian Dain in the main event drew a total of 1.006 million viewers.

This is a big 14.7% decline from last week’s episode of the show which featured Roderick Strong vs. Velveteen Dream for the main event and drew 1.179 million viewers.

Last week’s episode of the show had ranked #4 on the Cable Top 150 18-49 demographic but this position saw a dip as well and this week the show was ranked at #8.

This trend is likely to continue next week as AEW is set to debut their TV Show and while the numbers could change in the favor of NXT in the long run, it looks likely that people will tune in to TNT to get a taste of the upstart wrestling promotion’s content.
