NXT star out with injury

One of NXT TakeOver: Chicago II’s best matches involved the NXT Tag Team Championships. The Undisputed Era successfully defended their titles against Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch. While Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly walked away with their hands (and titles) held high, they were taken to the brink, with Lorcan and Burch’s intense beat’em down offense taking a toll.

However, it was Lorcan who would leave Chicago with an injury. It was reported by PW Insider that Oney Lorcan broke his orbital bone during the title match, and will require surgery. It’s not known when his surgery is scheduled or when he’ll show back up on NXT.

NXT’s latest tapings do not feature the Boston Goblin, so it’s safe to assume we won’t see him till late 2018. The recovery time of this kind of injury can vary depending on a handful of factors. However, requiring surgery is never a good sign.

While the duo might not have been taking the Tag Titles anytime soon, Burch and Lorcan were really on fire lately. We wish Lorcan a speedy recovery.
