NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff’s August 31st date is an interesting one as it is the same day as AEW’s All Out event. To add to that, NJPW fans have noticed something interesting as well.
NJPW will be having a show in London on August 31st. So this event will be taking place on the same day as NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff. There will be no differences in time zones either.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed this subject and elaborated on it. He said NJPW will be running the show at the Copper Box in London and will go head-to-head with the WWE NXT UK in Cardiff Wales. He said it will be interesting since the New Japan show has 6,100 tickets sold while the NXT UK event has sold 1,300 tickets.
