Kesha openly expressed her disdain for her former employer Diddy with strong language and an offensive gesture during her appearance at Coachella this past weekend.
Singer Cassie’s civil sexual assault lawsuit against Diddy in November 2023 led to a wave of accusations against him, involving alleged transgressions such as brutality and ruthlessness.
Kesha altered the opening line of her 2009 hit song “Tik Tok” from “Wake up in the mornin’ feelin’ like P. Diddy” to “Wake up in the morning like f— P. Diddy.” While doing so, she gave Diddy the middle finger alongside her friend, singer Reneé Rapp, during Rapp’s Coachella performance.
Kesha’s revised lyrics mirror a previous change she made to the song back in November 2023, when she sang, “Wake up in the mornin’ feelin’ just like me,” as reported by Entertainment Tonight.
There appears to be a significant rift between Kesha and Diddy. Kesha was one of the first to file a civil lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs in 2014, accusing him of sexual assault, battery, and psychological abuse.
After Diddy filed a countersuit against Kesha for defamation, Entertainment Tonight reports that both parties reached a confidential settlement in June 2014.
