Obama Reveals If Biden Will Be Removed

Former President Barack Obama gave his vote of confidence in President Joe Biden on Friday, following a debate performance that led many Democrats to suggest Biden should drop out of the presidential race.

Obama gave importance to the fact that the election remains a choice between Biden, who has dedicated his life to fighting for ordinary people, and Trump, who Obama described as self-serving. Obama pointed out Biden’s commitment to honesty and integrity in contrast to Trump’s constant lying.

“Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know,” began Obama. “But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself. Between someone who tells the truth; who knows right from wrong and will give it to the American people straight — and someone who lies through his teeth for his own benefit. Last night didn’t change that, and it’s why so much is at stake in November. http://joebiden.com.”

Obama’s remarks came as Biden faced intense scrutiny from within his party following a challenging debate against Donald Trump. This debate performance led to calls from some Democrats and media figures to reconsider Biden’s candidacy. David Axelrod, a key strategist for Obama’s campaigns, suggested Biden should reflect on what he wants his legacy to be, warning that continuing could risk making Trump’s return to the presidency easier.

“I think this is something he needs to consider and those around him need to consider: What does he want his legacy to be?” mused CNN’s David Axelrod, the architect of Obama’s successful presidential campaigns on earlier Friday afternoon.

“If he then becomes a vehicle by which a very unpopular Donald Trump, who, by the way, did not do particularly well last night, becomes president again, what does that do to his legacy?” he asked provocatively.

Even Joe Scarborough, a consistent Biden supporter, expressed concern that Trump could win unless there are changes
