During this week’s episode of 205 Live WWE announced that the current Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore will defend his title against Kalisto at the Survivor Series PPV.
However, it appears that this wasn’t what the company originally had in mind for the stars of the Cruiserweight Division at the upcoming nonexclusive PPV.
According to a report from WrestlingInc, the original plans for the upcoming event was to have a tradition 5 on 5 Elimination tag team match between the cruiserweights.
The teams for this match were expected to be Enzo, Noam Dar, Tony Nese, Drew Gulak and Ariya Daivari against Kalisto, Sin Cara, Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali and Rich Swann where Amore and Kalisto would have been captains of their respective teams.
However, WWE allegedly changed their plans sometimes in the past week and decided to put Kalisto and Enzo Amore in a one on one match at the event instead.
