Original plans for Asuka’s Wrestlemania opponent

Asuka

Unfortunately for Asuka, she has no match for Wrestlemania as she lost her Smackdown Women’s Title to Charlotte Flair on this week’s Smackdown Live. This has been Vince McMahon’s idea for a long time.

This unexpected title change meant that the #1 contender fatal four-way match between Sonya Deville, Mandy Rose, Carmella, and Naomi was no longer needed, so it had to be dropped.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Mandy Rose was going to win the match and become the #1 contender and get a rematch against Asuka at Wrestlemania.

It was uncertain whether Mandy would have won the match. The match was removed from the Wrestlemania card because “that [match] really had little interest and instead make the main event stronger.”

So now the likely plans for Asuka would be her competing in the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal if it is held this year.

IMO, a GOOD wrestling promotion, has booking plans several months out, or even a year down the road, a solid idea of who they’re pushing, where angles are going to go, etc. Yes, people get hurt, stuff happens you can’t control, etc. But I think it’s highly ironic that WWE used to make fun of how WCW had booking plans change literally minutes before a match sometimes, and how “no one knew what was going on” most of the time. Because that’s exactly what it seems like for WWE for the last many years.

This is partly why I don’t watch NXT. Even their hottest talents eventually become forgotten on the main roster

They are just crying all over the internet. I don’t mind heck I expecting Charlotte Flair vs Ronda Rousey at Summerslam for the Smackdown title.

Asuka a jump back to Raw when she was good and hopefully a heel turn.

Every other article says that Charlotte winning the title was a last minute call, but this one says that it “has been Vince McMahon’s idea for a long time”??

Even further proof how p*ss poor the management in WWE is, I honesty can’t wait for Triple H to take over it’s so bad on the main roster right now it’s unbelievable. I can be the only one thinking they’re a little racist surely?

Why is it when WWE do a shock title change the internet can’t expect it an move on. You will go on an on about this topic all the way to WM 35.
