– Samoa Joe was originally scheduled to win the NXT Title at NXT Takeover: Dallas against Finn Balor. However, WWE officials changed their minds and had Balor retain the title. Joe is set to make his main roster debut soon.
– As seen at NXT Takeover, former NJPW talent Kota Ibushi was in the crowd. Dave Meltzer noted on Friday’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that Ibushi’s appearance on camera indicated that he has agreed to a deal with NXT. It’s expected that WWE will bring him in for more than the Global Cruiserweight Series that will air on the WWE Network later this year.
