Oscar de la Hoya Exposes ‘Rigged’ Floyd Mayweather Fight

Oscar de la Hoya sure does know how to get his name back out there when almost the entire audience of boxing have turned their back on him it seems. Recently, Oscar de la Hoya made waves in the water when he made it his mission to expose people such as Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather, saying they didn’t have a real fight, as it was fake and rigged. Could Oscar de la Hoya be onto something or is this just all for the attention that he now yearns for as many feel that his days are over for spotlight time? Tyson Fury Sad Training ‘Meltdown’ Revealed.

Via FightHype’s YouTube, the following was explained in the description: “FightHype.com was on the scene in Los Angeles, California where Hall of Famer Oscar De La Hoya hosted the kick-off press conference for his upcoming September 11 return to the ring when he faces former UFC star Vitor Belfort.”

During the conference, Oscar was asked what he thought about the fight between Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather. It was also added to be asked what Oscar thought about the various YouTubers and TikTokers who are now partaking in (what I personally call) ‘meme boxing’

As transcribed by Wrestling-Edge, Oscar de la Hoya replied with the following: “Look, if Jake Paul or Logan Paul – or if there are other YouTubers, and they wanna get in the ring, just don’t let it be with legends. Maybe you’re not ready for that yet. It becomes a circus, it becomes not real…Obviously, I want no part of that.”

Oscar continued: “That’s why I wanted this fight to be a real sanctioned fight. Anybody who knows me – I’ve never, I’ve never been in a boring fight, you know? I leave it all out on the line. You know, the Mayweather, Logan Paul fight unfortunately didn’t turn out the way they wanted it to turn out, but that’s not us. We got too much at stake, you know?”
