Boxing promoter Oscar De La Hoya’s girlfriend Holly Sonders was recently spotted wearing a see-through dress.
Meanwhile, Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia recently clashed in a catch-weight grudge match. The two young boxers collided but it was as Davis (29-0, 27 KOs), arguably the top knockout artist in the sport today, floored Ryan Garcia in Round 2 before finishing him off with a body shot in Round 7 to score a one-punch knockout on Saturday.
The bout emanated from a sold-out T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas as Gervonta Davis remains undefeated with the crushing knockout win.
Garcia (23-1, 19 KOs) was game throughout and landed a series of single power shots to get Davis’ attention. However, he was unable to beat the count following a sneaky counter left hand to the body.
Garcia came out hot and had success using quick right hands and mauling shots inside in Round 2 to get Davis’ attention but a beautiful counter right hand knocked Garcia down hard after he missed a lead left hook.
Oscar De La Hoya comments on the match
Garcia’s promoter, Oscar De La Hoya also agrees with the fighters. De La Hoya shared his approval recently on his Instagram. Ryan Garcia is signed under ‘Golden Boy Promotions’, which is owned by Oscar De La Hoya. As such, the two have been together for a long time.
In a recent Instagram Story, Oscar De La Hoya shared a picture of Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis standing together after their fight. In the picture, the duo was seen posing with smiling faces. He wrote in the caption, “That’s what it’s all all about”, showing that he agrees with the duo moving past all the previous beef they had.
It is also understandable that much of the previous animosity was shown in order to sell the fight. However, it seems, for now at least, both of the fighters don’t hold any resentment towards one another.
