At Money in the Bank 2020, Otis came away with the men’s briefcase. Now a MITB winner, the big man could cash in his shot for the Universal Title shot whenever he so chooses.
It was a genuinely shocking moment for Otis, who had quickly become a fan favorite during his storyline with Mandy Rose. He recently spoke to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated to explain his reaction to winning the briefcase.
“I found out and was like, ‘What?’ When the briefcase got into my hands, that’s when it felt real. I remember watching the first ‘Money in the Bank’ match at WrestleMania, and it blows my mind that I woke up right next to it this morning.”

As far as when he plans on cashing it in, all he had to say was:
“You never know when I’m going to cash in, but I’m not one to wait. I think it’s going to be sooner than later.”
In a recent interview with DigitalSpy last week, Otis stated that he’d like to use the briefcase to challenge for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.
“I don’t think there’s a rule of what titles to challenge for, so we’re going to challenge for the Tag Team titles, cash it in and that’s what’s going to happen… if I can get up that ladder.”
Luckily for Otis, he didn’t have to use the ladder on Sunday.
