The former WWE Divas Champion Paige has been on the shelf for quite some time due to her neck injury issues. While, many stars have battled with similar issues and returned to the ring, she is also not ruling out a return to the squared circle. She had retired back in April 2018 due to issues with her neck.
Paige wants a return to in-ring action
Stars like WWE Hall of Famer Edge and Bryan Danielson made their return to in-ring action and these returns have inspired the star to get herself cleared to return to the ring in the future.
Paige star took to social media today to address these fans, tweeting out:
“It’s wild that some people are like “well edge and Bryan came back you are just lazy” I’m inspired by them. I’m not lazy. My neck needs to recover. We are all built different. Sorry fam,” she tweeted.

It is still unclear when Paige will be able to wrestle again. However, she might not be a WWE star anymore by that time. Last year, the British star revealed on her Twitch channel that her WWE contract was set to expire in June of 2022. That’s only a few short months away now.
It doesn’t appear that WWE has any interest in retaining the former Divas Champion’s contract as she was noticeably absent from WWE 2K22, a game that she could have easily been a part of since she’s still under contract with the company. The roster of the game comprises 149 wrestlers but she was excluded. This is the first time since 2014 for Paige to be unavailable as a playable character in the WWE video game. She is still under the contract with WWE for the coming several months, but she is not part of 149 wrestlers in this year’s game which is quite a shocker.
