The former WWE Divas Champion Paige recently defended a couple of WWE legends. She took to Twitter to back the WWE Hall of Famers Stone Cold Steve Austin and Edge, who were called ‘greedy’ by a fan. Paige was quite furious with the comment and fired back.

Both Stone Cold Steve Austin and Edge had to quit pro wrestling due to prolonged injuries. Austin made a one-off return at WrestleMania 38 and defeated Kevin Owens in the main event of Night One. While, Edge won his battle against his career shortening neck injury to make his return to wrestling at the 2020 Royal Rumble event and is still active to this day.
The former WWE star Paige recently learned that she hasn’t appeared on WWE TV for over 750 days. She seemed quite surprised over it as well. She also shares a similar history like the Edge and Austin in terms of the injuries.
A fan responded to her tweet and wrote that Stone Cold Steve Austin and Edge set a bad example for younger stars by returning to the ring. The fan finished off the tweet by calling the legendary duo “greedy.”
The former NXT Superstar responded to the tweet by saying that she feels the fan meant – “inspires young talent” and blasted the fans with some harsh words.
WrestleMania 38 saw the in-ring return of ‘Stone Cold Steve Austin after 19 long years. He defeated Kevin Owens in a ‘No Holds Barred match. He later returned the night two of the show and ended up hitting a ‘Stunner’ on Austin Theory and his mentor, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, who botched the move. Austin appeared again on night two of WrestleMania and delivered Stunners to Austin Theory, Pat McAfee and Vince McMahon. Now, fans are wondering if he would be making an appearance at next year’s WrestleMania 39 as well.
While Edge recently underwent a gimmick transformation, turning heel in the process. He has been displaying his darker side, joining forces with Damien Priest. he has been doing quite well on WWE TV ever since his return two years ago. The Rated-R Superstar is currently feuding against AJ Styles on WWE RAW.
