Paige talks career ending injury, knowing it was over

SmackDown General Manager Paige was the recent guest on Lilian Garcia’s latest Chasing Glory podcast, and during the episode, she talked openly about her career-ending injury.

According to Paige the kick that ended her career wasn’t Sasha Banks’ fault and after the match was over she knew that something was wrong and she won’t be able to wrestle anymore:

“I got the kick [to the back of the neck], it wasn’t Sasha Banks fault. My neck just wasn’t as strong as it was before so I ended up getting temporary paralysis on my entire body, So, I am laying there in the middle of the ring, and I could feel it. I knew that I wasn’t going to be able to wrestle anymore. I had never had that done to me. I couldn’t feel anything, I just laid there. I wasn’t in any pain but I just started crying.”

Continuing on the topic, the SmackDown GM recalled how Triple H and Vince McMahon reached out to her after the injury and how everyone was trying to keep her smiling as the time passed.

Paige suffered a neck injury after being kicked in the back of the head by Sasha Banks during a WWE Live Event back in December and later it was revealed that she won’t be able to wrestle again.
