Participant in John Cena’s ‘Wipeout’ show passed away

John Cena has a very busy schedule in Hollywood and other places. This includes him being a host on the newest edition of the Wipeout show. However, something unfortunate took place during the latest tapings.

 


 

According to a report by TMZ, a contestant passed away after completing one of Wipeout’s inflatable courses.

The man was said to have been experiencing pains in his chest and required medical attention. He was given on-site treatment until paramedics arrived on the scene. He suffered a cardiac arrest and unfortunately passed away when he was taken to the hospital.

The medical team on the Wipeout set were said to have already used a defibrillator on the man to resuscitate the man by the time paramedics came.

Wipeout is said to have safeguards and precautions in place on their set. It was said that:

For example, every ‘Wipeout’ contestant undergoes medical exams before participating. There are also 2 paramedics on-site, plus a safety producer and paramedic coordinator.
