Pat McAfee did not announce Madcap vs. Happy Corbin at WWE Hell in a Cell last night, with Michael Cole stating he had the night off.
Former WWE Superstar CM Punk has not been seen on WWE television since the 2014 edition of the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. He walked out of the company the next day and has not looked back since then. Following his WWE exit, many fans have been wanting to see Punk make his return to the company every year. He has yet to make his return to the squared circle and at this point, it seems very unlikely. A WWE Superstar was also previously punished for ripping off CM Punk.
CM Punk has been in talks with AEW for quite a while as indicated by reports and it all came true as The Second City Saint made his return to pro wrestling on AEW Rampage: The First Dance back in August of last year. CM Punk and former WWE Superstar Ryback certainly have a lot of disdain for each other. Punk has gone on record and stated that Ryback is simply unsafe.
CM Punk was injured recently and Ryback said it was karma. Ryback took to Twitter and talked about “the rules of Karma,” and how CM Punk has “done a lot of very bad things” to him and other people.
We all saw what happened when he went to the UFC. He got his ass kicked and handed to him. He had no business being there and he deserved every bit of it, he deserved worse. People say ‘move on,’ and I have moved on.”
Ryback said “my cool stuff is coming up,” because he had a chance to work on his health and get back into shape after recovering his injuries. The Big Guy claims that he wasn’t happy about CM Punk’s injury, but that doesn’t change the fact that Karma rules.
