WWE WrestleMania Backlash has been a memorable event to say the very least. Rhea Ripley retained her WWE Raw Women’s Championship whereas Bobby Lashley retained his WWE Championship in a triple threat match against Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman. However, not every member of the WWE universe was able to see tonight’s pay-per-view as Peacock’s mobile app issued a glaring error that might have caused some fans to miss a good portion of the show. This vintage ECW storyline was rehashed during the event.
Prior to the show, Peacock sent a push notification which stated that the show starts at 8 PM EST, with the kickoff show starting at 7 PM EST. Of course, this was a mistake as the kickoff started at 6 PM EST and with the main show started at 7 PM EST.
Later on, when Seth Rollins came out to beat down Cesaro after Roman Reigns beat him to retain the Universal Title, the feed briefly cut out and showed a bizarre production screen, angering many fans.
In related WrestleMania Backlash news, number one contender to the WWE Universal Championship, Cesaro discussed what challenging for the title means to him during a recent interview with Comicbook.com.
“It means the world to me. It means that hard work pays off and it means that all the pain and sacrifice was worth it, and that… It doesn’t mean that I will stop working less hard, by the way. It sounds like, ‘Oh, you’ll reach the goal. Now just go eat some cake.’ But to me, it’s kind of looking back and all the sleepless nights or doubts that I had, they were not justified. I’m challenging for the universal title this Sunday. And I feel like there’s a lot of people that came on that journey with me, and because it took so long, it means so much more,”
