Pete Dunne: “Finished my time on the British independent scene”

Current WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne is done with the British independent wrestling scene.

He posted a tweet last night after a match with Tyler Bate where he defeated him on PROGRESS Wrestling’s Chapter 92.

“Finished my time on the British independent scene tonight,” wrote Dunne. “Closing out a week that saw me in New York, Germany, Spain and London. 13 years that I wouldn’t change for anything, on to the next chapter.”

Drave Maverick also tweeted a congratulatory message to the British wrestlers who have wrapped up their dates with indie promotions. The co-founder of PROGRESS Wrestling Jim Smallman tweeted a message thanking Dunne and Tyler Bate for their contributions to the promotion and wished them the best of luck. So it seems like Tyler is also done wrapping up dates in the indie circuit.

Not enough information yet but it seems like these wrestlers are now signed to an exclusive deal with WWE and will not be appearing on indie shows. We will update once more news comes out.
