Pete Dunne was one half of the NXT Tag Team Champions with Matt Riddle. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he was unable to travel from the UK and had to relinquish the title. He was absent from WWE since then.
He made his return during NXT Halloween Havoc. He decided to team up with Pat McAfee and NXT Tag Team Champions Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch. Dunne made short work of Kyle O’Reilly, breaking his fingers in the process. He then joined McAfee’s group.
McAfee certainly gained a powerful ally to his group and it will be interesting to see what the Undisputed Era does in response.
