Planned SummerSlam fatal four-way title match reportedly nixed

We noted before that WWE was reportedly planning a fatal four-way match for the Raw women’s championship at SummerSlam, though those plans have apparently been nixed already.

During the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that the previous plans for the Raw Women’s Championship match have been cancelled and it will no longer be defended in a Fatal Four Way.

While the Wrestling Journalist did not reveal what the new plans for the title are, it’s speculated that the title will now be defended in a one on one match.

WWE has been teasing the match between Nia Jax and the champion Alexa Bliss for a while now and many believe that we may see this match happening at the SummerSlam PPV.

However, the company has also announced a #1 contender’s match between Bayley and Sasha Banks for next week, so it’d be interesting to see what Officials have actually planned for the title.
