Possible reason why John Cena-Undertaker segment didn’t take place on Raw 25th

A segment between Undertaker and John Cena was heavily rumored to take place during the 25th Anniversary episode of Raw this week but it obviously didn’t happen.

Dave Meltzer talked about it during the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio and revealed a possible reason why the company decided to keep these two stars apart during the event.

He indicated that with Royal Rumble taking place this Sunday, the company felt that this was the only time they had to set up a feud between the Leader Of Cenation and Elias.

On the other hand, there is still time to set up a match between Cena and Taker and Meltzer believes that an angle between them will take place in the next few weeks.

As noted before Samoa Joe was originally scheduled to have a rivalry with John Cena prior to WrestleMania but his injury caused the plans to change and WWE chose Elias as his replacement for the feud.
