AEW Dynamite Winter Is Coming ended with Kenny Omega winning the AEW World Championship with help from Don Callis. The two made their way out of the building following his win. During the final seconds of Dynamite, Eddie Kingston could be heard shouting on commentary. It seems there was a reason for that.
Eddie Kingston shouted that he wanted to fight against Lance Archer. Fans were puzzled at this as it was not explained on Dynamite either.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Kingston vs Archer was an alternate for the night. Had the AEW World Title match ended with time to spare, then Kingston vs Archer was set to go on after that.
However, the match took up all the allotted time, so Eddie Kingston and Archer were not needed. We will have to see when the two will eventually feud.
