The Miz beat Otis for the Money In The Bank briefcase at WWE Hell In A Cell after Tucker turned on Otis. It seems there was a good reason for this decision.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE had a proper reason for giving Miz the briefcase. It was said that WWE wanted a Superstar to carry the briefcase into 2021.
It was not mentioned why Otis could not be the one to do that, but it seems The Miz has the faith of Vince McMahon with him and is trusted more than Otis.
Otis gradually fell down the WWE card as McMahon simply stopped his feud with Tucker from going anywhere and it is unlikely it will be touched upon again.
The Miz also made it clear that he has the key to win the ”hot potato” game that is the current WWE Title picture.
