Potential plans for Kevin Owens’ future revealed

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn managed to take out the New Day on last night’s Stomping Grounds pay-per-view. Owens pinned Xavier Woods for the victory and the two best friends stood tall over Big E and Woods.

Now, Dave Meltzer reports on the Wrestling Observer Radio that things are looking bright for the Prizefighter’s future in the company. According to Meltzer, Owens is being advertised as a participant in a triple-threat match between himself, Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship in the next pay-per-view event.

Ever since his return to the company, Owens has unsuccessfully challenged for the WWE Championship several times. If the reports hold true, then KO will once again look to dethrone Kofi Kingston and become the WWE Champion.
