It is with a heavy heart that we bring the news that luchador Principe Aereo, real name Luis Angel Salazar has passed away. He was 26 years old while wrestling at Mexa Wrestling in Mexico City.
Late in his match, Principe Aereo took two normal (maybe even light) open hand chops to the chest and then suddenly collapses. If you’re familiar with basketball player Hank Gathers, it’s the same sort of sudden faint. No fault of his opponent.
The report stated that he was immediately put on a stretcher and received medical attention. Unfortunately, he passed away by then.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Salazar’s family and friends during this sad time.
