Randy Orton Bombshell Leaks After Royal Rumble

WWE star Cody Rhodes made his return from injury during the Royal Rumble match and eventually won the match. He and Randy Orton were previously a part of a stable, ‘Legacy’ back in the day. Rhodes talked to reporters at the post-event media scrum. ‘The American Nightmare’ revealed he spoke to Randy Orton the night before the Royal Rumble event.

Cody spoke about how he had thought of winning the rumble match for the past 10 years. The American Nightmare recalled being one of the final four in the 2009 Royal Rumble match.

“The thing I wanted my whole career, a moment like that. I don’t think he’ll mind me telling you guys, I talked to Randy Orton last night, and I was at the Royal Rumble at the very end, Triple H, Randy Orton, and myself. Triple H eliminated me, and then Randy Orton eliminated him, and that caused him to win the Royal Rumble, and he brought us in the ring. I was just sitting on the floor, stay small, he brought us in the ring. I thought to myself, ‘I wanna be that guy,’ and then I thought ‘that’ll be next year,’ and here we are it’s been over 10 years. The thing I’ve been missing that I don’t take for granted is that somehow I connected with people. Maybe in 2015 when I took my excursion. Because I have the honor and the burden, that I don’t play anybody, I’m me. Tonight me was good enough, and that feels good.”

Meanwhile, WWE veteran star Randy Orton has not been featured in the programming since May this year. Orton last competed on May 20 edition of WWE SmackDown, losing the Raw Tag Team Championships with Matt Riddle to The Usos. He has been dealing with a back injury that was considered significant enough for him to miss the rest of the year. ‘The Viper’ required a fusion in his lower back that would keep him out of action for an extended period of time. The surgery has already happened as noted by Orton’s wife posting a picture of him around the operation. Former WWE star Renee Dupree had opened up on Orton’s injury.
