Beth Phoenix appeared in the main event of RAW to give a medical update on her husband Edge. The Rated R Superstar was viciously assaulted by Randy Orton the night after Royal Rumble and he’s been out of action ever since.
Before Phoenix could speak, Randy Orton came out and interrupted her. Orton went for a hug and a handshake, both were denied to him by Phoenix who called him a “son of a b*tch”.
Orton then went on to talk about his history with Edge and said that he did him a favor by attacking him. He said that Edge is a “junkie” for the roar of the WWE Universe who actually thought that he was back for good after his return at the Royal Rumble.
Orton said that this was Phoenix’s fault because she enabled Edge to be delusional and that he only sent him back home because he loved Edge and his family.
Phoenix, who was in tears, slapped Orton right across the face and stared him down. Orton dropped the mic and after Phoenix kicked him the gut, he hit the Hall of Famer with an RKO.
