Randy Orton has seen himself on top of the world and has also seen himself fall from grace on a few occasions. On the most recent episode of ‘The Kurt Angle Show,’ Kurt and Conrad spoke about all things ECW in what seems to be a nod to the recently deceased, ECW icon – New Jack.
This episode is based on Kurt’s time in the revamped version of ECW, how ECW did on Sci-Fi, Paul Heyman, and the memorable first edition of ECW One Night Stand.
Towards the end of the show, Kurt spoke on ECW legend – RVD and Randy Orton. Randy and RVD had been known to blaze it up a bit back in the day and they actually paid fines up front before even getting caught.
Kurt stated: “You’re gonna get drug tested seven times a year and if you’re gonna fail seven times a year *laughs* and this is what I heard one of the wrestlers say…I might as well say who it is – Randy Orton and Rob Van Dam. They basically told the company that they would pay the money up front for drug charges and failing drug tests.”
Angle finished: “I think the fines were like $2000 so they would just hand over $14,000 like ‘Hey, I’m good.'”
