Randy Orton & Riddle Sad Hiatus Rumor Leaks

Randy Orton and Matt Riddle had an unlikely alliance. It had been one of the most exciting teams in WWE during the run it had. The duo, known as RK-Bro, was last seen together months ago, however, recent reports suggest that WWE is likely done with them as a team.

WWE is unlikely to feature RK-Bro

The beginning of the team’s formation saw Matt Riddle pursue The Viper to form a team with him back in April 2021. Randy Orton, after weeks of thought and due consideration, decided to give it a try and RK-Bro became a thing for the WWE Universe.

To everyone’s surprise, The Viper and The Original Bro managed to win over the audience and become one of the most entertaining teams in the tag team division. Randy Orton and Matt Riddle even manage to claim the RAW Tag Team titles as a unit by defeating AJ Styles and Omos at WWE SummerSlam 2021.

However, the team had to disband when Randy Orton went out due to a back injury, right after dropping the RAW tag team championships to The Usos in a Winner Take All match on SmackDown back in May 2022. According to a new report by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it looks like WWE won’t be reforming the team, even after Randy Orton’s eventual return.

“McIntyre & Sheamus are now being called The Banger Bros. A key question from that regards both Orton & Riddle as RKO Bro, which would seem to mean there are no imminent plans for them to return because the WWE doesn’t usually like to do names so similarly. There was a lot of concern regarding Orton’s career due to his back issues.”

While Orton is sidelined with injury, Matt Riddle was suspended for a violation of the company’s Wellness Policy
