Randy Orton competed in a Gauntlet match on WWE SmackDown Live this week, where he was victorious. Of course, he didn’t spend anywhere near as long as Kofi Kingston did in the match, but he won in the end.
Orton’s win actually cemented him in WWE History. A Randy Orton fan account on Twitter dug up a very interesting statistic and this definitely got Randy Orton’s attention.
“With tonights quick match v AJ Styles tonight @RandyOrton has now moved into sole possession of 3rd Place(breaking tie with Chris Jericho) for most TV matches in WWF/E history over the past 48 years with now 746 of them. Next stop for 2nd is The Big Show with 798.”
This is most certainly an impressive feat for The Viper. At the rate he works, he will definitely be closing in on Big Show eventually. For now, he is set to compete for the WWE Championship at WWE Elimination Chamber this Sunday.
