Raw viewership for season premiere

With SmackDown’s move to Fox Network and other schedule changes, this week is one of the most important weeks for WWE in recent times and it has started with a good news for the company as Raw has seen a big increase in audience.

This week’s episode of Raw featuring the return of the likes of Brock Lesnar, Ric Flair, and Hulk Hogan as well as Seth Rollins’ Universal Title defense drew a total of 2.571 million viewers, according to ShowBuzz Daily.

This is a big 16% increase from last week’s episode of the show which featured the match between Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman as the main event and had drawn a total of 2.210 million viewers. This was also the best Raw viewership since the post-SummerSlam episode of the show which had drawn 2.729 million viewers

The first hour of the show featuring the Brock Lesnar segment drew a total of 2.701 million viewers. The second hour than saw the usual decline with 2.592 million viewers and the third hour continued the pace with 2.416 million viewers.

While Raw did good numbers this week, the star of the week is expected to be SmackDown and with the likes of The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin returning to the show, we can expect the episode to draw exceptional numbers.
