AJ Styles is undoubtedly one of the best in-ring workers on not only the SmackDown Live Roster but among all the wrestlers who are under contract with WWE.

However, he hasn’t been wrestling much on TV in recent weeks, which has raised concern among fans as usually, this means that the wrestler is dealing with an injury.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer was recently asked about the reason why the current United States Champion hasn’t been wrestling much on WWE TV in recent times.

Replying to it Dave revealed that AJ has been working almost every night but he is usually saved for dark matches: “Working every night. Saved for dark matches a lot on Tuesday to make sure crowd doesn’t leave during 205 Live.”

This report makes sense as Styles is one of the biggest stars on the current SmackDown Live roster and it’s a wise decision to use him as a way to keep the audience glued to their seats.

AJ Styles is currently scheduled to defend his US Championship against Baron Corbin at WWE Hell In A Cell this Sunday. There is no news on what the company is planning for this match but it’s likely that the champion will retain his title.
