While this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was generally praised by the fans, there was a segment which many believe didn’t fit with the narrative of the show.
This segment was the one featuring Alexa Bliss where the goddess was supposedly seen topless and a lot of people wondered why the company decided to put this segment on the show.
Dave Meltzer talked about the whole thing recently and claimed that the awkward segment was an attempt from the company to make things sexy:
“they want to bring back this idea of God only knows what. It’s like old time, old time stuff, It’s like whatever, that stuff’s on regular TV shows all the time, too. It was an attempt to do something that was very awkward in execution, but it was an attempt to make things sexy. That’s all that was.”
Whether or not it was a right choice by WWE officials is a topic of debate but it appears that the segment has garnered the attention the company was hoping for. The YouTube video of it is currently sitting at 2.9 million views and it’s the second most watched video on the company’s channel this week.
