Reason behind the short duration of Cain Velasquez’s clash with Brock Lesnar

The highly anticipated debut of former UFC Champion Cain Velasquez was rather a subdued affair as he was forced to submit to Lesnar’s Kimura Lock after just 2 minutes after the bell.

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE decided to keep it a short match due to Velasquez’s bad knee. The former MMA stalwart is expected to undergo surgery sooner or later to treat the injury.

Despite the knee being in a bad shape, Velasquez is still scheduled for the November 30 live event in New Mexico where he will team up with Rey Mysterio to face the duo of Drew McIntyre and Andrade.
