Reason why NXT has odd schedule for USA Network

NXT will be making its debut on the USA Network on September 18th, just before AEW makes their TNT debut on October 2nd.

However, the first hour of NXT will air on The USA Network while the second hour will air on the WWE Network for the first two weeks. The reason behind this is actually simple.

Suits is the USA Network’s longest-running show and it is currently in its final season. It airs on Wednesday nights and has to end before NXT airs in its spot. Bryan Alvarez explained this on Wrestling Observer Live.

Alvarez said that Suits still has two more episodes remaining until it concludes and that is why the first two episodes of NXT on the USA Network are only one hour with the second hour being on the WWE Network.
