Reason why WWE called up Authors Of Pain and Sanity

WWE called up Authors Of Pain on the main roster for Raw brand and soon after this the company also announced the arrival of Sanity for SmackDown Live.

However, Authors Of Pain made their debut and then were pulled from TV and Sanity hasn’t even appeared on WWE TV yet and they have only made Live Event appearences.

During the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez talked about this and revealed the reason why the company has left these two teams in a limbo.

We noted before how there was talk of holding a third, Tag Team Money In The Bank ladder match and according to Alvarez the two teams were brought to the main roster to help fill out the spots of the bout.

However, the company scrapped this plan later on and both the teams were left without anything to do, hence they have been away from TV in recent times.

I do not believe for a second that they were brought up for a MITB match. For starters there are plenty of teams without tag belts, and with no match at the PPV, so there is very little reason to bring in two teams specifically for this. Especially when you consider that there would probably have only been something like two teams from each show in the match (would you really want more than 8 people in the ring at one time?)

No tourney need. Replace 205 live

Maybe if they did more tournaments like the may young classic with the likes of the main roster from both brands

100% correct on the women’s division booking. It’s to the point these last couple of years, I hate to see women called up from NXT. On NXT they have storylines for them and the matches are actually given time to be pretty good and develop the moving storylines. You never see them wrestle better matches than they do on NXT. It’s about time the women get their own show, to better showcase their matches. Only problem is there is no time to actually shoot it.

See this is why NXT is better than the “main shows”, the writing and booking is so much better than Raw and Smackdown. Pretty much 90% of the NXT talent thats come up has gone from solid pushes or NXT champion to jobber status or “filler” matches (Neville, The Ascension, Samoa Joe, The Revival, Sami Zayne, Kevin Owens… the list goes on)

Even the women have had better booking. Sure the womens devision has come a long way, but they’re still getting dumped on by Raw & Smackdown creative. Look at Bayley and Sasha Banks for example
