Reason WWE nixed Ronda Rousey’s singles match during recent Live Event

Ronda Rousey was all set to make her singles debut during a recent Live Event from Geneva where she was announced to be facing Raw Star Mickie James.

However, WWE nixed this singles match at the last moment and the former UFC Star ended up competing in a 6 Women Tag match at the show instead.

This change had started all kinds of rumors including the speculation that Ronda may have injured herself while training and couldn’t work a longer match.

Although during the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer killed all these rumors and stated that the reason why this match was nixed was simply because Officials thought that Rousey was not ready for a one on one bout.

During the episode, Meltzer also made comments about Ronda Rousey’s attitude backstage following her massive debut at WrestleMania which you can read here.

Ronda Rousey is now set to make her singles debut at the upcoming Money In The Bank PPV against Nia Jax on June 17th.
