Recap Of AJ Styles’ Appearance On SportsCenter

AJ Styles appeared on ESPN’s SportsCenter on Tuesday night to talk to Jonathan Coachman about WWE. There was a highlight reel of the Payback PPV and Monday’s episode of RAW.

 


 

Coachman brought up Roman Reigns putting him through a table on RAW. Styles said that things happen, but he got up and plans to keep going. Coachman also brought up Enzo Amore’s injury at Payback. Styles said that it happens and that WWE is looking to prevent it from happening again. Coachman asked him if he ever thought he would get to WWE. Styles said that he dealt with not getting to WWE for awhile, and it sucked that he thought that he might never to wrestle at WrestleMania but he is glad to be here. He also explained that it was amazing to join WWE and make his WWE debut at the Royal Rumble PPV in January.

Coachman asked him how social media has helped him out in WWE. Styles said that social media was a big deal to his success. WrestleMania 32 was brought up. Styles said it was mind boggling to be in front of over 100,000 people at the event and face Chris Jericho. Coachman revealed that Styles’ dream would be against Shawn Michaels. Styles explained that everything that Michaels did he made it matter. Styles doesn’t believe that Michaels would come out of retirement to face him and that he should enjoy retirement.

Video games were brought up, and Coachman asked if he would rather play Madden or NCAA Football, Styles said that he loves college football so he would rather play NCAA Football.

Styles thanked ESPN for having him on the show, and this wrapped up the segment.
